Estudió periodismo y un máster en sociología de la comunicación en Sevilla, Lisboa y Madrid. Desde 2008 reside en Alemania e informa de la actualidad alemana en España y viceversa. Ha escrito para publicaciones como el ya extinto semanario Diagonal, los diarios El Salto, eldiario.es, El Confidencial, El Periódico de Catalunya, La Razón, La Marea o CTXT. En Alemania ha publicado en los diarios junge Welt, neues Deutschland o el Taz, y en revistas como Konkret, Hintergrund, Missy Magazine, OXI, la austríaca Tagebuch o la publicación del sindicato del metal, IG BCE o la del sindicato Verdi, Publik. Ha trabajado como traductora para la confederación alemana DGB y en 2013 escribió un libro con el periodista Rafael Poch en el que contaba sus experiencias en trabajos precarios en Alemania. Fue productora del canal televisivo Globo de Brasil en la realización de reportajes y documentales. También pasó un tiempo en la agencia de noticias rusa Ruptly. Es invitada como tertuliana a medios como la radio pública RBB o la televisión del diario Die Welt, N24, Iran International o el medio de Alemania para el exterior, Deutsche Welle. Es de la generación precaria.

Carmela Negrete studierte Journalistik und einem Master in Soziologie der Kommunikation in Sevilla, Lissabon und Madrid. Seit 2008 wohnt sie in Deutschland und schreibt über Politik und Aktuelles in Deutschland für spanische Medien und in deutsche Medien über Spanien. Sie veröffentlichte ihre Artikel, Reportagen und Analysen in spanische Tageszeitungen wie eldiario.es, El Confidencial, El Salto oder La Razón, sowie in Zeitschriften wie der schon eingestellte Diagonal, La Marea oder CTXT. In Deutschland schreibt sie bei der Tageszeitung junge Welt, Neues Deutschland, die Taz oder die Zeitschriften Konkret, Hintergrund, Tagebuch aus Österreich oder Missy Magazine. Sowie auch die Zeitschriften der Gewerkschaft IG BCE und Publik von Verdi. Sie arbeitete als Übersetzerin und 2013 schrieb sie ein kollektives Buch auf Spanisch, dass auch ins Italienische übersetzt wurde, in dem sie über ihre Erfahrungen mit dem Niedriglohnsektor in Deutschland berichtete. Sie produzierte zudem TV-News und Dokumentationen für den brasilianische Sender Globo TV sowie für die russische Nachrichtenagentur Ruptly oder die baskische EITB und berichtete für den TV Claro aus Kolumbien. Sie wird als Gast in Sendungen über Spanien beim RBB, Cosmo, N24, Iran International oder der Deutschen Welle eingeladen. Ihre Schwerpunkte sind spanische und deutsche Politik, Arbeitsrecht, Migration und Flüchtlinge. Ab und zu demonstriert sie auch.

Carmela Negrete studied journalism and a Master in communication sociology in Seville, Lisbon and Madrid. She has been living in Germany since 2008 and writes for the German and Spanish press about politics, current affairs, labour law and migration. She writes across many different media outlets: the weekly Diagonal (already closed), the dailys El Salto, eldiario.es, El Confidencial, El Periódico de Catalunya, La Razón, La Marea and CTXT. In Germany she has written for the newspapers junge Welt, neues Deutschland and Taz, as well as for the magazines Konkret, Hintergrund, Missy Magazine, OXI, the austrian Tagebuch and the publication of the German trade union IG BCE as well as Publik. She worked as a translator and in 2013 published “The 5th Germany”, a Spanish collective book (translated into Italian in 2017), about her of experiences regarding the precarious state of the German labour market. She has also worked as a TV-Producer for the Brazilian Globo and for the Russian news agency Ruptly and the EITB from the Basque Country. She has talked on German public radio RBB, the public German media for foreigners "Deutsche Welle" as well as on TV channel N24 or the TV-Channel Iran International. It wasn't that easy.
